Facebook seems to change features like you change underwear. Recently, they snuck in some fantastic Facebook business pages changes. Below are the top 3 changes that are really for the better for business page managers and the end user that you are reaching.
1. They may have taken away the opportunity to get organic reach if your content doesn’t rock, but they did add this tasty little nugget of hope. If you have over five likes on a post, you can click the “other likes” under the post. A pop-up will allow you to see who liked that individual post. Next to each name and photo of the person who liked your post will have a “Liked” button or “Invite” button. Invite the people who have not liked your page a simple click of a button. A quick and easy way to gain likes and organic reach.
2. Insert a Call to Action button within your cover photo. You may have seen a little pop-up bubble on your business page asking you to create your call to action button. You can select from 7 pre-set calls to actions from Facebook and link any link you want to it. I think it’s a great feature if one of the calls to actions match what you need. I would like to see Facebook add a donate now call to action for non-profits.

Add a call to action to your cover photo.
3. The days of free self-promotion is over. On January 1st, 2015 Facebook said no to organically sharing your promotional product or service posts. If you want, your posts to be seen naturally, sell less and be an excellent resource for information and customer service. You still have the option of paying for sponsored posts to ensure your target market does see your promotional posts. If you are a page manager that is a content queen or king, Facebook just opened a way for you to ensure organic traffic. If you are still busy trying to sell like it’s a newspaper ad in the 1940’s, we suggest you start buying ads now.
